I’m a writer,
educator,
phd student,
but above all else a daughter of the King.
The titles come and go. They’re given different weights in different seasons. Yet, who I am at the core never changes. It’s my confidence in this identity that allows me to do everything the Father has called me to do—including this blog.
My first WordPress site began in 2014 when I was 15 years old. It had an audience of two: me and God. It was an outlet to express the words that filled my mind, but I never uttered aloud. Over the years I would write inconsistently; when I I began therapy journaling was integrated into my healing journey.
Following that, the pandemic and a subsequent season of isolation made writing a habit. I was never without my notebook and pen. My Notes app held countless entries of my innermost thoughts. Like it was at 15, my words were just for me and God.
That was until I realized these words could be used for His glory.
A decade after my first blog, exhalinghope was born. The tagline is a reference to Hebrews 6:19. Here you’ll find essays on hope: words inspired from The Word, my own experiences, and the stories that surround me.
Apart from writing and when I’m not studying, I find joy in worshipping, reading (with a cup of black coffee in the morning and herbal tea in the evening) capturing moments with my film camera, calligraphy/lettering, and working out.
You can find me on Instagram here.
With love and gratitude,

This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary.
